Women's Ministries

“You are beautiful for you are fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Psalm 139:14

About April Hobbs | Purpose

April Hobbs, a member of the Montgomery First Seventh day Adventist church,  has a passion for sharing her love for Christ.  She is the director of Women’s Ministries and Adventurers, registrar for homeschoolers, among other activities in her church.  Also, she has been active in the Women’s Ministries in her conference, both as committee member for four years and  associate director for one year.   She serves as the Gulf States Conference representative on the North American Division Executive Committee.  April and Norman have been happily married for 16 years.  She enjoys homeschooling their two children, Savannah and Nelson.  In her free time, she loves to read, play the piano, draw, and spend calm, peaceful time out in nature, with “her” backyard birds and butterflies.  Occasionally she gets invited to speak in different venues about the dynamics of spiritual growth and other practical subjects.  April is looking forward to reaching out to the women in the Gulf States Conference.

The Gulf States Conference Department of Women’s Ministries strives to encourage and help each woman to Grow in Faith Through Service. This is accomplished by helping her realize and develop the unique talents and spiritual gifts given to her by God which will assist her in reaching others for His kingdom. Our ministry has been a vital part of the Gulf States Conference since our very first retreat in 1988 with guest speaker Kay Kuzma. We look forward to growing together in Christ and being the woman, wives, sisters, mothers and daughters God wants us to be.

Prayer Requests

We would love to pray With you and For you.

God can do anything – far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. Ephesians 3:20 (The Message)

All requests will be prayed for by the Women’s Ministries Council and will be held confidential.

Please pray for me!

April Hobbs
